Double Vision Jazz Ensemble brings original contemporary jazz into concerts, educational programs, museums, galleries, and community settings through performance, improvisation, storytelling, and creative collaboration.
ABOUT DOUBLE VISION
Double Vision Jazz Ensemble is a contemporary jazz quartet co-led by composers and improvisers Hank Hehmsoth and John Mills. The ensemble serves as a core performing group for H Project Performing Arts Association, bringing original
music, improvisation, education, Texas music history, and interdisciplinary arts programming to audiences throughout Texas.
Rooted in creative interaction and spontaneous invention, Double Vision explores the full range of modern jazz expression while connecting with the places, people, and stories that shape our musical culture.

“Water Dance” explores contrast — turbulence and stillness, motion and suspension, energy and reflection. The performance is accompanied by Hank Hehmsoth’s abstract visual work, extending the music into a unified art-and-sound experience.
