WHO WE ARE
An arts organization built around public work
H Project Performing Arts Association (HPPAA) is an Austin-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2011. We bring artists, educators, presenters, cultural organizations, and community audiences together through concerts, workshops, residencies, exhibitions, public-history programs, and documentation.
Founded by jazz pianist, composer, and educator Hank Hehmsoth, HPPAA began with a commitment to artist-led performance and creative collaboration. Its work has grown to include youth jazz education, Texas jazz history, interdisciplinary arts, public humanities, and partnerships across Central Texas.
